A Last Thanksgiving

This year feels like a lot of lasts. Last Fourth of July with Ian home, last big vacation with Ian home, and now our last Thanksgiving with Ian home.

We normally have the Barlows over, and when my sister lived nearby, we had her family over. This year, it was just us, Ian's friend Dale, and our missionaries. Elder Payne and Elder Garner. They came over early so that they could teach Miles and Ian how to make Elder Payne's awesome peanut butter pie. Miles and Elder Payne have developed a very brother-like bond.
Yes, I still have serious skills with canned cranberry sauce.
After feasting on a ridiculous amount of food (seriously, I have never made so many side dishes), then everyone went for a walk in the woods. For some reason, unbeknownst to me, this included the elders attempting to give each other piggyback rides. Since Elder Payne is 6'8", and Elder Garner is on about 5'7"....it kind of looked like a Dad giving his young son a piggy back ride.

We had a spiritual thought together and called it a night. It was a beautiful Thanksgiving.
