The bow and arrow sets that the kids got for Christmas have been a huge hit. We take them out to an empty field near Central Texas College and let them shoot into it. Naturally there are certain rules that are enforced such as: don't shoot unless everyone is lined up and don't point your arrow at a person. Other than that its sort of a free for all.
Liam is a natural archer and with ease can shoot an arrow fifty feet.
It's a little harder for Ian's tiny arms to make the stretch, but he's still able to shoot his arrows a respectable distance.
Miles has a play bow that doesn't really shoot arrows. Miles is only mildly interested in shooting it anyway. He's much more interested in chasing the arrows that have already been shot.
All in all it has been one of the more exciting and successful, if dangerous, Christmas presents.
They're so good at this! !! Fun too!
