Decorating for Halloween

October is here, and so much has happened Lisa and I have hardly had time to post what is going on. Lisa is working at Metroplex again, this time at their Behavioral Health Unit. When she and I aren’t working, helping run the Primary, the scouting program and keeping the kids going at school, we are also helping Heather get established here in Texas. She is living with us and has been going through the arduous task of getting set up here. With Halloween around the corner, we have done our best to keep alive the traditions our little family established for the holidays.
I am a firm believer in setting up decorations for a holiday only after the house is clean. The boys worked hard over a two day period to get the house ready with minimal help from Lisa and myself. We set about pulling out our decorations and getting them set up inside and outside the house.

Ian was the most excited about the outdoor decorations. Here he is wrapping the lights around our Japanese Maple in the front yard. He also was very particular about setting up the pumpkins and ghosts in the front.

Liam was excited to sit in James Hoopes' car. James is our very diligent home teacher. He is living in his company commanders' office until he is med boarded out and he very graciously took pictures for us, including our little Grand Theft Auto attempt-er.

Here is Ian admiring his handiwork. He was a little disappointed when we were done because he thought we were going to go trick or treating afterward. We assured him we would do that after we had a chance to do all the other things that come with Halloween.
