Chuck E Cheese Friend Party

 For Ian's friend party on Saturday we went to Chuck E Cheese. I baked two fantastic Angry Bird cakes. They were very home made looking, but Ian loved them. Having eight little kids in an overflowing pizza place/arcade can be slightly overwhelming, but luckily all of them had attending parents. It turned out to be a really relaxing birthday party.

Matt was in charge of Miles for the party. Miles was an official guest with his own little cup of coins and his own seat at the party. Matt took him around to play games, and hands down his favorite was to shoot basketballs. Matt would stand him up onto the platform and Miles would just keeping throwing balls. 

Ian always seemed to have one of his two female guests attached to him at all times. I finally realized this is one of those fundamental boy vs. girl things. Those little girls were bound and determined to play with the birthday kid. No matter where Ian went or what Ian did they would find him. The other little boys could have cared less as long as they still had coins to play games they were happy to do it solo.

Liam favorite game for the last three years has been the Jurassic Park dinosaur shooting game.

Chuck E Cheese came around and crowned all the birthday kids. Ian waited for his crown and when the giant rat tapped him on the shoulder Ian looked over and screamed. Apparently he didn't realize you got crowned by a rat. Ian blew out his number five candle without any help this time.

We had a table full of pretty excited kids. Liam, however; being a smart kid disliked the ear drum bursting music that they were playing. Seriously, I think I went a little deaf from it, and I sort of wished I'd brought some ear plugs.

Ian also got a medal. He's obviously pretty darn thrilled about it.

After being at Chuck E Cheese for over three hours, Miles was done. All the kids had a lot of fun. Ian had an unforgettable fifth birthday party, and best of all Miles slept soundly both for nap time and at bed time.
