All the kids were pretty excited to start school, but especially Liam. He called his elementary "scientist school". All summer long he attempted to deliver his skeleton model t-rex to display at his scientist school. The first day of school he insisted on bringing it on the bus. It turns out his teachers were great about it and it currently sits on display in the library.
Ian started the fourth grade with Ms. Flinders. He was pretty excited to see his friends and very apprehensive that fourth grade would be "too hard". He had a great first day.
Miles, sporting his new glasses, started the first grade with Ms. Wood. He got to see his friends. He loves school. He was less enamored of school lunch and begs to take home lunches, but my unequivocal response is...not going to happen.
Ellie was desperate to go to school. She put on a small backpack and headed out the door with her brothers, barefoot, and in pajamas. She was very distraught that her brothers went to school without her.
