Dying Easter eggs is always an adventure and this year with a mobile Ellie it became even more exciting. What possessed me to put her in white footie PJs? I did manage through stressful vigilance to keep Ellie from playing in the egg dye.
We are not quite moved into our house; although a great deal of our stuff is there it is mostly in boxes. The Burnett Family decided to have a family Easter Egg hunt and Aunt Becky's house in Centerville.
This Ellie's first real Easter Egg hunt. She was quite enamored of finding Easter eggs. It didn't matter if it was hers, someone else's, or one that she has already found. She loved it!
The boys had a great time finding their eggs. Miles is a great age for it. The fun part was that the kids just older hid the eggs for the younger kids. So Cousin Noelle hid Ellie's, Miles hid Noelle's, Ian hid Miles, Grace hid Ian's...I'm not sure who hid Liam's.
Liam loves Easter Egg hunts. He is well aware that it ends with a big bag of candy.
Ian really enjoyed the challenge of looking for eggs. He enjoyed being able to hide somebody else's eggs even more.
Easter morning dawned with full Easter baskets. Each kid got their own 2 liter of soda, a Willy Wonka chocolate bar complete with a golden ticket and a fun item. Liam got dinosaurs, Miles got a play parachute, and Ian got a floor rug checkers game. Easter was a huge success and we loved that we got to celebrate our first Easter in Kaysville!
