Christmas morning the boys enjoyed their stockings, picked at breakfast and were ready to rip through presents. This was our best year yet for all boys being willing to take turns opening presents, being happy for each other, and being happy with what they got. Pop pop and Grandma LeAnn got Liam some animal figurines and a Wii infinity magic mickey, Ian a ninja turtle costume and a robot velociraptor, and Miles a gigantic set of Lincoln logs and a Wall-e action figure. The boys think you're wonderful. Maga got the kids new school clothes, jackets, Miles a Pluto, Ian a "golden" spider-man, and Liam a cowboy toy. They really loved them. Thanks for the gift cards we wrapped the gifts and labeled them under the tree! After opening and assembling the presents, the kids ran off to play...Matt and I were profoundly happy to have them play with toys so we could relax. Liam built a complete "Night at the Museum" in his room with his Christmas toys...which was his goal (and included all of the African mammals and some Anubis statues to guard the mummy pharaoh). Ian and Miles went through every toy in turn. The boys shot each other with nerf guns, played with legos, and generally had a day of indulgence and fun. I got Matt a family sized rocking chair for our back patio. Matt got me a new car seat stroller combo for baby Ellie (Elaina Mary) which per my particular request had pink on it.
Per our family tradition by evening we took down our Christmas decorations. This especially appeals to Liam who doesn't like to have "loose ends" at the end of the Holiday. Later that evening we did snap a photo of the boys all curled up on one chair playing Wii infinity and testing out Liam's new magic Mickey. We had a great Christmas, our last one in Texas, and have fingers crossed that next year in Utah we'll experience our first white Christmas in six years.
Love those pajamas!
